Tonight we took Jenna trick or treating around the neighborhood and she had a ball!

At first, she was a bit uneasy so Rose carried her for the first few house. Rose would carry up to the house and stand her on the step and say “Trick or Treat”, then Jenna would take the candy and put it in her basket and Rose would say “thank you” and then “bye”.

By the 5th house Jenna was walking between house stops and saying “bye” . Somewhere around house number 10 we heard her say “trick or treat”… it was so cute! Then she really got the hang of it. After she said “bye” to one house she’s walk down the driveway and the minute she hit the sidewalk she’d start to run and yell “GOOOOOO!” and rush to the next house.

After about a street and a half it started to get cold so we called it a night and headed home, but I think it’s safe to say that she had a blast and we’ve got a Halloween fan in the making!

I can’t belive it’s November!!!!! Where did the year go?

Jenna continues to talk at what seems to be an accelerated pace, last Sunday this became very evident.

I was still in bed when Jenna woke up and Rose went to rescue her from her crib, the next thing I know Jenna is standing next to my bed asking to be picked up, so I pick her up and sit her on my stomach. She looks at me and say “Wake up!” so I took that as my cue to get out of bed. She takes me by the hand and starts to lead me around the bed when she suddenly stops and looks at me and says “clothes!” so I put a tshirt on… then she looked again and said “pants!”.. I was wearing short, so I put on a pair of jeans.. then she said “ok, let’s go!” and grabbed my hand and walked me to the living room.

She is also starting to identify more and more things around the house like “momma’s bag” and “remote” (the TV remote) and “phone”. She’s also become quite the dancer and will even go as far as to go to our bed side tables and turn on the radio on our alarm clocks so she can dance… it’s very cute.

Everything else is going well, the construction projects around the house are slowly coming to a close. The bathroom needs floorboards and a little clean up and it will be all finished. The roof is done, and the siding is nearly done… after that the gutters will be put onand we can put all of that to bed as well… it will be a relief to have the house back to ourselves so to speak.
