We ended the summer with a bang in the form of a great trip to Florida to visit my parents and my brother and his family. The kids had a ball playing together and it was so much fun to watch. Jenna continued to get more comfortable with the pool, and having her cousins there really helped pave the way.

While we were there, my dad celebrated his 64th birthday so we all ventured out to the local steak house to celebrate.

Jenna was spoiled by her Nana and Grandad during the trip, but I wouldn’t expect anything less… she had so much fun reading with grandad, and feeding the fish with nana.

I’ve got a ton of pictures from the trip, about 200 or so, and I’ll hopefully get a chance and post some of the best ones over the weekend…. here is one of my favorites that Carol (my brother’s wife) took while we were all plaing at the park.

In other Jenna news, she continues to talk up a storm and probably shares 5 to 10 new words a week. Some of our new favorite (an not so favorite) are classics like “move” sometimes followed up with a “please”. She also says “please” and “thank you” and “you’re welcome”. While we were in Florida she learned milk, but it comes out “milka milka milka”… she also got really good at saying cookie… can’t imagine how that happened

Rose starts back at work on Monday with the kids showing up on Wednesday. My job continues to move right along at Key, it’s frustrating and overwhelming at times, especially as of late… but I guess I’m dealing with it the best I can…
