2 weeks ago, over Memorial Day weekend my folks came up to visit for a few days. After a slight delay during their travel.. only 6 hours… they arrived safe and sound. The next day we hung around the house for the most part. That evening my dad and I went downtown to see the US Men’s Soccer team play a pre-World Cup game against Venezuela. The US won 2-0 and it was a great game… about 30,000 showed up to support the team which was an incredible showing for “Brown’s Town”

Saturday didn’t entail much, more relaxing and playing with Jenna.

On Sunday, Rose’s folks came up and I did a little BBQing for lunch. Jenna was in Grandchild heaven having both sets of Grandparents around.

Monday we went to the Zoo and Jenna got to see the animals, she had a blast pointing to the animals and even interacted a little with a monkey and it pressed it’s hand to the glass where Jenna was standing. It was very cute..

This is probably the most memorable of milestones that Jenna has reached…

Her first trip to Swenson’s!! She loved it… ate a whole cheeseburger!!

In other news, Jenna continues to amaze us everyday with her communication skills (both signing and words now). She can say hi and bye, ball, dog, mama and dada, more, and all gone. She can also identify parts of people’s faces… it’s lots of fun
As the weather has turned nicer we have started to spend more time outside, Jenna has adopted her sun hat and sun glasses and “must have” items when venturing outdoors… she looks like a little movie star.

She’s also got her tastes and opinions in music… she loves old 50′s/60′s rock-n-roll and she has to have a certain CD played every night at bed time, and if it’s not the right CD she will let you know about it in a hurry.
