Wow…time flies when you’re a baby! We can’t believe Jenna is 3 months old today. She is constantly amazing us with all that’s changing:
*more smiles once recognizing us, she also smiles at friends and stangers (when in the mood)
*giggles/laughing occurs once in awhile; the first time was during her bath and was the cutest sound EVER! (you know…until her first word)
*coos/girgles/lip buzzing/caws (like a bird) are the language of choice; she makes the sound and we imitate her..too much fun once she gets going
*Jenna aerobics is the exercise of choice with legs and arms waving a full speed;her favorite location to do this is the changing table once the dirty diaper is off and she’s cleaned up. “I’m free” seems to be the message
*bubble blowing is a new habit which is much more entertaining than just drooling
*new hair is really coming in but her birth hair is still around…usually sticking up like a mohawk.
*she sleeps anywhere from 6-8 hours a night which is such a relief for mom and dad; however (as in the last couple of nights) she does slip into waking up every 3 hours occasionally which has us greatly anticipating the return of 8 hours.
*body arching and turning are her “tricks” especially when she wakes up in a 180 degrees direction change from where we laid her down…we’re sure this is a precursor to rolling over and then it’s all down hill from there
*first babysitter is for when I go to an evening grad class (yes…I’m crazy!). My former teaching partner lives 3 streets away so Jenna gives Sue her “baby fix” with strolls around the neighborhood and naps on her shoulder before Mark picks her up for “daddy time” until I get home from class. Sidenote: We’re looking into day care for when I go back in the fall…not happy about it but you all keep saying I need make the arrangements…we think we just needs to win the lottery so we can all stay home!

All in all, we’re doing great as life seems to becoming more of a balance with our little addition. We’ll get the official “bear” picture up soon so you can all see our growing Jenna. Hope all is well for you and you’re looking forward to summer fun soon.

Mother’s Day has a WHOLE other meaning now…very cool indeed.

Jenna “sent” me a bouquet of mixed colored roses. They are so beautiful with yellow, peach, pink, lavender colors and so fragrant. Mark made cresent roll-ups (Mom Murray, I’m so glad you taught him how to make those!!!) for breakfast and we went off to church where Jenna had to add her 2 cents to Rev. Budd’s sermon with a very loud coo at a quiet moment!

We came home for a little pork stir-fry and a family picture in the backyard in front of the tulips using Mark’s new tripod (picture posting forthcoming). We hung out the rest of the day together just amazed at how much joy and awe Jenna has brought to our lives….it’s a good thing!

Yes, all three of us are still alive… last week I started working downtown at KeyBank, right now it’s a “Contract-to-Hire” position for 3 months, so we’ll see what happens.

Rose started her next grad school class last week as well, so Jenna has been spending an hour or so from the time mom leave to the time dad gets home with a sitter.

I hope to put up some new pictures soon, as soon as I do I’ll let you know.
