Happy 2 month Birthday!

Posted by rose on 22nd April 2005

Miss Jenna is really developing her personality. She’s smiling in response to us instead of just when she’s pooping. There is more sleep for ALL of us at night ranging from 4 to 6 hour stretches. It’s like heaven on Earth to have one of those 6 hour gifts!! She still hates waking up (just like Daddy) and lets us know by crying out…while she’s still asleep! About half the time, cries will change to smiles especially once her “butt” is changed. Jenna is finding her hands and bringing them to her mouth for a munch. Sometimes the thumb wins but usually it’s whatever fingers make it there first.
Mark will really try to get pics up this weekend…since we’re suppose to get 6 INCHES OF SNOW, there’s no yardwork to distract us.
Lots of hugs from Jenna Rose and her parents!!

Sleep…

Posted by mark on 14th April 2005

I’ll probably jinx the whole thing, but the last two nights Jenna has slept for 6 hours straight…. Rose and I wake up and ask each other “Did I miss a feeding/changing?” and then we realize she slept for 6 hours… I think we had forgotten what it was like!

She’s doing great and has started to smile when we interact with her and grab at things when she sees them… she has also discovered the wonder of sucking her thumb… it’s way cute.

I will put up pictures by the weekend.. I keep saying that, but I haven’t yet.

Another Doctor Visit

Posted by mark on 6th April 2005

We took Jenna to the doctor on tuesday for her 6 week check. She was 22 inches long (her original birth length was wrong.. the last time at the doctor she was 20.5 inches) and she weighed 10 lbs 14.5 ozs. She was in the 75 percentile in all the stats.

She got 3 “combo” immunizations, which she didn’t enjoy much… neither did I or that matter. I don’t mind when she cries, but this was “OOOWWW IT HURTS!” crying and it made me tear up a little. She ended up being fussy the rest of the day and through the night… but I think she is doing okay today.

We got to take a walk yesterday as well as the temps in Cleveland soared near 80 degrees… it was so nice to get out of the house.

I’m hoping to post more photos tonight, so check back later.
