Yesterday concluded a three year adventure….my last wedding photographer assistant “gig”. And to prove you can teach and “old dog new tricks”, I shot my first Bezenteen (sp?) wedding and learned a new function of my camera! The irony was that one of the bridesmaids was pregnant and due Feb 22. I will miss my Saturday adventures with Greg but I look forward to having wide open weekends with Mark and the flexability to see friends whenever I feel the whim (you’re thinking, that’s why we don’t see them!)…..oh, I’ll miss the money too!

Ok, I’ve finally gotten around to getting new belly shots and putting up the new ultrasound photos.
Everything at the ultrasound appointment went well, Dr. Rao says that everything is going super. Always good to hear.
Peanut was his usual ornery self and didn’t want to cooperate so the ultrasound technician could get all the measurements that she needed. This one is going to be a chip off the old block..
So without further delay:
Belly Pictures!
Peanut Pictures! (My favorite is the one where he is waving to the camera)
(I use “his”, because “it” seems so cold and standoffish… We didn’t find out the sex, honest)

Hello all!
I haven’t done this in awhile so….
-baby movement: ok, so maybe the Motherhood part of this hasn’t taken full hold but these little fluttering movements are strange!!! When I first started feeling them, I thought my body’s signal to “pee” had intensified because I wasn’t expecting the movement to be so low in my body. I classify the sensation as butterflies in my stomach-stactic electricity shocks-and the aforementioned pee signal. Now, upon reflection, the location makes since the baby is not that big and is hanging out in a reletively small space (note that fact that you all haven’t seen lots of belly pictures!). So I’d just like to say thank you to Barbara, my co-teacher, for keeping me calm in my quest to figure all this out (of course, she’s laughing while telling me that I’m ok but I guess I need that too).
The best part of Peanut’s movement is that as I sit at an inserice meeting last Monday he’s flippin all around to the point I almost had to get up and leave the meeting….ahhh, common sense starts early in the little one!!!!
-life’s reality check: Also on Monday, I attended the funeral of an 11 year old former student who passed away suddenly last week from a heart condition (we suspect). Trying to think of the words to say to his parents at the funeral service was checked by them congratulating me on my pregnancy. Life is such a balance and a blessing to appreciate….and that’s my reality check.
So…off to grad school research! Also note, I will not voluntarily take a grad class and teach at the same time EVER again. This just bites!
hugs and smiles to all!

Just thought I drop a message out here and say that everything is still going fine. Rose thinks she has started to feel movement from the baby and last week as I had my ear pressed to her belly I heard Peanut tap 4 times at my head as to say “Yes I’m in here..” …on a side note, I must say he has really good rhythm they were very steady beats.
Friday of last week I had a show with Chris Nekvinda. We played in Tremont as part of the Tremont Artwalk. Originally we were suppose to play inside a gallery called Eye Candy, but when I arrived and checked it out, I quickly came to the conclusion that there was no where to set up and be out of the way. So since it was a nice night I suggested we set up and play outside on the side walk, which was rather large and we would be out of the way, and draw more people down to the gallery. It worked out really well and it’s a neat experience to play without any amplification on the sidewalk.
I have two shows this weekend with James. Always a good time, and this weekend should be no different.
In other news, the baby registry has been completed and you can visit http://baby.bradbourne.net to get to the registry with great ease.
Things to look forward to next week:
a new belly picture
an ultrasound picture or two (or more)

Some of you may have noticed that the web cam has been off for a couple of days. Well, I’ve had to move cubes and the new digs aren’t quite as secluded as the previous ones, so it’s not really as convinent to have the thing out, up and running.
Not much going on… I participated in the final recording session for Chris Nekvinda’s upcoming CD on Tuesday, contributing some backing vocals as part of a small group… sounded really cool. Can’t wait to hear the final product, it’s going to be amazing… but I think I’ve already told you that… anyway.

Busy, busy weekend!
Friday, I left work early to head down to Kenton for their annual homecoming activities. Granted, the last homecoming game I went to was 11 years ago. It was great to catch up with a few friends and see the old stomping grounds. After the game, I decided to drive home, pulling in to the driveway a little after 1 AM.
Saturday, Rose was kind enough to let me sleep in, and once I woke up we went and grabbed a bite to eat before running around to do a bit of shopping. We went to Kohl’s and picked up some maternity clothes, and went next door to Home Depot to look for a water pad for the humidifier. We found that, and after some earlier discussions we picked up a snow blower. We figured with the problems I’ve been having with my back and Rose being unable to help this winter with the snow shoveling (we usually split the shoveling duties) that it was time to pick up a blower. After a couple of more stops, we returned home and watched return of the Jedi on DVD.
Sunday we woke up and began preparing the house for the BBQ we were hosting for the teachers that afternoon. After getting most of the house set up, I packed up my things and headed off to my audition. The audition went well, not sure what the status is yet, but I’ll keep you posted. I rushed home after the audition and fired up the grill, cooked for everyone, scarfed a burger down and packed up another set of stuff for a studio session with Chris Nekvinda. The session was awesome as usual.. I can’t wait to hear the final disk, it’s gonna be great.
So… needless to say, I need another weekend to recover from this one.
