Posted by mark on 29th August 2004

Not that she’s quite showing yet, but we’ve started a “Belly Pictures” page so you can see Rose’s progression as the weeks go on. I’ll post an update and the link here whenever we update the page.

Baby Update

Posted by mark on 27th August 2004

I went with Rose to the doctor yesterday for the baby/pregnacy checkup.
The doctor is really nice (not that I doubted what Rose had told me)
and he had the best saying Ive ever heard about pregnancy

“In this country pregnancy is treated like a disease”

I thought that was brilliant and couldnt be more true.

I got to hear the baby’s heart beat and it was just pounding away, and
sounded very healthy.

We are going to have the “quad-test” done in a couple of weeks and then
at the end of September we are having another ultrasound to see how the
baby is devloping.

That all for now!

Band stuff

Posted by mark on 26th August 2004

Lost in America are playing their last show on Friday. I decided that I needed a break and told the guys earlier this week. Not sure what I’m going to do from here, but we shall see.

I’m still playing with James Pequignot… so that will keep me semi-busy.

More updates soon I’m sure.

Mixed reviews

Posted by mark on 23rd August 2004

So, I’ve gotten mixed reviews on my new “hair” cut… some people love it and say it’s great, others say it will have to grow on them (no pun inteneded) and some say I should grow my hair back.

I like it, Rose doesn’t mind it and the person I pay regularly to cut my hair says she likes it (thus denying herself money, so I know she’s being honest)

So, it’s staying this way for the time being…. who knows for how long.

In other news we went to Columbus for the weekend and visited with Allie, Jason and Gavin as well as Tara, Brad and Emalie… and of course Rose’s folks and Don (her older brother) who is home from Germany (where he was stationed).

It’s always nice to head south for the weekend and see everyone, but now it’s back to reality… another boring week at work.

Rose has a check up on Thursday… I’ll probably be posting after that unless something exciting happens.

Deck Painting and Classroom Prep

Posted by mark on 17th August 2004

Spent yesterday after work painting our deck. The color turned out really nice, altough we need another gallon to finish the railings. My back was killing me by the time it was done.

Rose is doing well… she is working in her classroom this week getting it all set up for the kids. So far he pregnancy has been really easy other thne her being tired (knock on wood)

I personally hope it stays that way.

New car and stuff.

Posted by mark on 10th August 2004

I picked up my new car on Thursday, and I must say I love it. Granted, it’s pretty much the same as Rose’s, but mine has a sunroof and and indash MP3 player and it’s black…. it looks sharp. I’ll have to post a few pictures if I get a chance.

I still have the truck, I’m running adds hoping to sell it in the next few weeks. If not, I’ll be donating it to Our Lady of the Wayside and taking it off my taxes… but I’d rather sell it.

Rose is doing well, she finished up her last grad class for the summer and in getting ready to start the new school year in a week and a half. She ran in to her principal yesterday and told him the news. She makes the 12th pregnant teacher in the school…. even I won’t drink the water in there anymore, it’s apparently very potent.

In other news, Rose’s parents stopped up on Thursday night and helped seal and protect the wood surfaces on our windows. I’m horrible and detail work, so I mowed the lawn… better for me not to ruin the windows. The windows (and the lawn) look great, and I feel much better now that they are sealed.
