So, on Saturday I went at saw the Dave Matthews Band at Blossom…. sat in the 5th row, to the right of the stage. It wasn’t a bad show… but it didn’t grab me like the previous 4 (5?) shows I’ve seen from them… maybe I’m getting old, maybe I’m looking for a little more when I pay $70 for a ticket (after the taxes/fees/charges). The thing that drove me insane was the dead time between songs… they’d just stand there, talking to each other… I mean, c’mon… then again, it’s probably better then having Dave mumble in the mic and having the crowd roar… I’d love to ask everyone other them “So, what did he just say? …You don’t know! The shut up!”
But I digress… the best part of the show had to be the last song. They did a killer version of ‘Two Step’… I even caught Dave mouthing the words “That was bad!” to Stephan after Carter’s drum solo-like break down… and he was right… it was bad.
I’ve almost finished the new Harry Potter book… it’s been a very good read thus far… I hated to come in to work today because I wanted to finish it.

Lost in America contines to roll along the Cleveland music scene… last night we played at the Barking Spider to a small but enthusiatic crowd.. had a good time. The owner, Martin, loved us and has already booked us again for September and he is in the porcess of seeing if we can play there on Halloween night.
I’ve been sitting in with James Pequignot’s band the last week as they were in need of a good drummer for a big show they have coming up this weekend., nothing like learning 30 new songs in a week…

So, I went and saw James Pequignot with his band on Satuday night, and if live in northeast Ohio, you really need to check this guy out. He’s a great performer, plain and simple. The more I see him, them more I look forward to the shows that Lost in America has booked to play with him in July.
In other, super-exciting news, Rose got a job! She has been offered and accepted a full-time teaching position at her current school… something we were both hoping would happen. She’s in the process of getting ready for summer, which I think she’s looking forward to at this point
I recently celebrated my one year anniversary with Compuware…. hard to believe it’s been a full year, even harder to believe that I’ve been on the bench for almost two-thirds of that year… but TRUST ME, I’m not complaining in this economy.
Not much else going on…. if you are in the area, Lost in America will be at the Hi-Fi open-mic in Lakewood tonight @ 6pm and tomorrow night we will be at the Barking Spider open-mic @ 9pm… should be a good time.
