Howdy!
Sorry the updates have been so few and far between… busy with doing lots of nothing, if that makes sense.
If anyone in the Cleveland area is reading this, and wants something to do this Saturday evening, Lost in America is playing in Willoughby. Our first show was last weekend, and it went really well… despite our initial thoughts of how the evening would go.
When we arrived at the venue, we quickly realized that we have under-estimated the average age of the crowd by about 50 years… so we figured, we’d go and play our show, the way we do, and they would throw us out by 8pm. Well, turned out that the people who stuck around (probably 60% of the crowd) really enjoyed us. They bought some CDs, signed up for the mailing list, and even played along when we wanted to take their pictures for the website.
If that show is any indication of things to come, let’s just say it will be very interesting.

Rose and I got the chance to see an amazing cocert last night, and let me tell you, despite the cost of tickets, it was well worth the price of admission! The show was Billy Joel and Elton John, and they did not disappoint… playing for nearly 3 and a half hours.
The show started with both Billy and Elton trading verse on each others hit songs, then Billy left the stage and Elton played through a 10 song set which was amazing!, Billy then came back and played a 10 or 11 song set which was equally, but differently amazing… once he finished up, Elton came back out on stage and they played a few more of each others songs and a few cover songs. Then, they came back and encored with Piano Man…
What a show!!!

A quick update…
Things are still chugging along nicely with the bands… I currently have 9 shows booked between now and June, plenty of chance for people to come out and see us play (hint, hint)
Work is still work… I seriously considering a career change (getting out of computers) as I have truly grown to dislike the constant worry of layoffs and all the stress envolved with working in IT in general. What will I do… not sure yet, but I’m investigating… whatever I do, I’m sure it will be a cut in salary, at least to start with.
Rose is filling out applications and resumes, but still has the possbility to stay in Orange another year… all kind of crazyness.
More as things develop…
