We had a really nice Christmas, and I just wanted to share a couple of pictures with everyone.

When Rose and I went to church Christmas Eve, there was no snow on the ground or in the sky… Christmas Day, this is what we woke up to find.

I can’t tell if this is a serious site or not… either way, it’s pretty funny.

Last night, Rose and I went to see the new movie Drumline. It was really well done, and beat my expectations of what I thought the movie would be like. I highly recommend you go see this movie if you were ever in marching band. On a personal note, it was really cool to see Kappa Kappa Psi so well represented in the movie.

On a related news item, the theater we go to has automated kiosks for purchasing tickets. Last night, I was getting ready to but the tickets and Rose said “Why not just buy senior discounted tickets?” to which I said… it’s worth a shot, thinking that they would have some sort of programming logic that would not allow the sale… but it worked. I guess that they can’t tell an age from a credit card, which saved me $5 last night.

We were suppose to go to Columbus this weekend, but we changed our plans due to the weather report. The last time we drove south it was raining, and the traffic was horrible… I swear Ohio is filled with dehydrated crappy drivers… the minute you add water (snow, rain, etc..) they baloon in to full blown idiots. So, with past experience, and in impending snow/ice storm they were predicting, we opted to stay home and decorate for Christmas.

The weather never really came… not sure what it was like further south, but the 6-8 inches of snow predicted ended up being a big ol’ goose egg of snow. There is more snow on this web page. Needless to say, we were a bit peeved at Dick Goddard (Cleveland weather guru)

So, we put up our Christmas tree, and we hung lights outside. Nothing major, but compared to the rest of the street, we look like the Griswalds during the National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation.

Yesterday, we went to my company holiday party, which was a pretty cool event. The food was good, and the people that I actually know from work were there with their wives, so we all sat together. The evening got a bit busy and we had to cancel on another holiday party we were scehduled to go to… that’s what happens when you spread yourself to thin I guess.

Last night, I suffered from a bit of insomnia, so I started our annual holiday letter. I haven’t reread it yet, but I have a feeling I’ll need to edit it a bit… something about sleep deprivation and writting a cheery letter don’t mix.
