Despite the outcome of the OSU/UM Football game, it was still a great game to watch… I knew it wouldn’t be a blow out, and let’s face it… OSU got lucky… but luck is a part of winning.

Not much else to report… life goes on as usual.

My tenure at GE is coming to a close for now, hopefully today I can wrap up the current phase of the project. As always, I’ll keep you updated…

So I’ve been at GE now for about a week and a half… finished the final technical specification/analysis report this morning, being sure to go back over and cross my T’s and dot my I’s. I have a meeting to review it at 3pm.

Rose and I shared a great anniversary evening over the past weekend. We went to dinner at Buca de Bepo, went and saw Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets and I surprised her with a nice earring and pendent set. We had promised that we wouldn’t get anything for each other… but I lied … I don’t think she minded…

Still no new design up… sorry. Maybe this weekend after Michigan crushes Ohio State and dashes their chances of a National Championship

Work update…
So, I’ve been “on the bench” now since the end of September (“on the bench” is a term describing a consultant who doesn’t have a placement) and it’s been pretty dull, but that’s all about to change. Over the last couple of weeks I’ve been writting a proposal to go do a little work at General Electric on a fixed bid basis (fixed bid… lump sum, no matter if I do it in 8 or 80 hours). I found out today that we did indeed get the bid and I should be starting to work their next week! Woohoo!

Site update….
This morning, I actually got to spend some time thinking about a new design.. I came up with something, but as I sit here typing it I’ve realized that it resembles the colors of
Ohio State… and I don’t know if I can live with that…. hopefully the site will go up next week.

Wow, I suck… the updates have been really lagging as of late, and I have no excuse.

So lets see… updates…

I was in a one car ‘accident’ a while back, I hydroplaned coming off an exit ramp and slammed in to a street sign causing about $2K worth of damage… thank go for insurance, but it sucked pretty hard not having my truck for 10 days. I had a rental, but it sucked too… I will never buy a Ford Focus. By the way.. I wasn’t hurt at all.

Rose and I have ordered new windows for the house… we should be getting them installed next month. We are both very excited to not be feeling a breeze through a closed wondow… I swear, they might as well not even have glass.

I went and saw Rush on Monday night… it was outstanding… I was totally blown away… again.

Halloween came and went… Rose and I carved pumpkins. I have pictures, and I’ll try to post them someday.. right after I redesign the site.

I promise to try and do a better job of updating… I swear.
