Many apologies to you, the reader, for leaving you in the dark with no updates. We are still alive, just super busy.

We have a new house guest for a month or so.. Bronte the wonder dog! It’s so much fun having a pet around the house… and she’s a blast. Rose is still teaching away and every now and then she goes and shoots a wedding. I recently rolled off of my American Greetings.com project and I am now ‘on the bench’… and believe me it’s as fun as it sounds… NOT. The nice part is I only have to be in the office half a day, so the other half of the day I can do stuf around the house and play with the dog.

I’m heading to Michigan this weekend for a little rustic camping action… Rose is staying home to puppy sit and work. Sunday we are going to the Indians last game of the season.

..and that’s all the news thats fit to type… hopefully something a bit more interesting will happen soon…

A city boy, Kenny, moved to the country and bought a donkey from an old
farmer for $100. The farmer agreed to deliver the donkey the next
day.

The next day the farmer drove up and said, “Sorry son, but I
have some bad news, the donkey died.”

Kenny replied, “Well then, just give me my money back.”

The farmer said, “Can’t do that. I went and spent it already.”

Kenny said, “OK then, at least give me the donkey.”

The farmer asked, “What ya gonna do with him?”

Kenny, “I’m going to raffle him off.”

Farmer, ” You can’t raffle off a dead donkey!”

Kenny, “Sure I can. Watch me. I just won’t tell anybody he is
dead.”

A month later the farmer met up with Kenny and asked, “What
happened with that dead donkey?”

Kenny, “I raffled him off. I sold 500 tickets at two dollars a
piece and made a profit of $898.”

Farmer, “Didn’t anyone complain?”

Kenny, “Just the guy who won. So I gave him his two dollars
back.”

Kenny grew up and eventually became the chairman of Enron.

Will The Work Ever End
AP – Cleveland, Ohio

Work continues at Bradbourne Manor as the residents try to unearth themselves from the mountain of boxes that have taken over their house. Rose Bradbourne, 28 year old teacher, continues to work at organizing the kitchen, contact papering the shelves, and finding homes for all the kitchen items. Mark Bradbourne, 26 year old computer consultant, recently completed a straightening up in the basement after mowing the lawn, and plans on painting the bathroom and hallway with his wife some time this week.

Holy Crap…. it’s only Monday.

Is it a bad sign when you are ready for the weekend when you wake up on Monday? My guess is yes, it is a VERY bad sign if the previous statement is true. I think the Life SQL would look something like this..

DELETE * from WEEK where DAY not in (‘Saturday’,'Sunday’) or VACATION <> ‘Yes’

We had a busy weekend of unpacking, and running around shopping.. we also went to a baseball game and went to see Tony and Tina’s Wedding (which was really funny)… this weekend looks like it’s shaping up to be more of the same.. equal parts of fun and work :)

“Oh, you hate your job? Why didn’t you say so? There’s a support
group for that.

It’s called EVERYBODY, and they meet at the bar.”

So, I got the pictures developed from the painting party that we had before we moved in to the house, but I don’t have the computer set up yet to scan them in, so those hwo are waiting will have to continue to wait… at least until next week. This weeked will be a big unpacking weekend I believe… hopefully we can set up the desk (and computer) and the futon…. and clear out some of the basement so GuyTown isn’t so cluttered :)

I actually got to hang out in GuyTown last night for a couple of hours and played NCAA College Football 2003… It’s so strange to see Zippy and hear the Akron fight song in a video game.

The commute in to work sucked this morning… an hour and a half because of an accident. Hopefully that isn’t a regular occurance… then again, my contract at AG.com ends on the 20th and I’ll only have to go as far as the office till I recieve my next placement. Chances are that I will be on the east side somewhere…

This made me laugh.. I totally stole it, but I will try and think up more ‘Life SQL’ for future posts :)

What if I could use what I do at work, writing SQL statements, and apply it to everyday life?

SELECT * FROM ThingsToDo WHERE Boring <> NULL

SELECT * FROM TVListings WHERE ShowName <> ‘Anna Nicole’ and StoryLine <> ‘INSIPID’

DELETE * FROM RushHourTraffic where Driver = ‘CRAPPY’ and Affliction <> ‘ROAD_RAGE’
